SENIOR TEAM NEWS Pelada Cup: 25 March, 2012Boroondara Eagles FC V’s Monbulk Rangers SC Congratulations to our Senior Women on their 1-0 win against Monbulk Rangers Soccer Club on Sunday 25 March. It was a gutsy performance for a newly promoted State League 2 team playing, against one of the top teams in State League 1. Welcome on board to four players making their Eagles debut: Jess, Steph, Ally and Ellen who scored the winning goal, in a dream start with her new club. We now proceed to Round 3 and will play against Brighton SC at DISC, 3pm on April 1. Men's Thirds coach announcement:I am pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Godden to the position Player/Coach for our 2012 Thirds team. Michael will have multiple coaching roles at Boroondara Eagles – he will combine his player/coach role with 3rds with his current duties as coach of the Under 16A boys team. The Thirds Men’s program will now go through a transformation. With many retirements in after last season we are now looking for new players to join the team. Expressions of interest in joining the team are promising and we believe we have the numbers and look forward to a new look thirds team doing well this season under the astute leadership of Michael Godden. Thirds training starts at Leigh Park on Monday 26th Feb at 7pm and will continue training every Monday until March 26th. *(NO BOOTS). Training will then move to Thursday’s at Macleay Park commencing 7:15pm on Thursday April 5th. The Club has put in strong resources towards thirds football and we look forward to the NEW LOOK set up showing strong support towards the club via club functions/sponsorship initiatives and general support towards our Reserves/Senior set ups.
